More than a career, Randy Dawson has spent a lifetime in the construction industry. He began in 1973 at age 11 working during the summer and weekends in masonry and painting. Randy stayed busy performing every construction job he could find. In 1978 Randy started working as a plumbing apprentice in commercial and residential projects. After working for many years in all facets of the industry he became a master plumber and started his own plumbing company, which grew rapidly completing thousands of new construction projects both residential and commercial. This overall experience gave Randy incredible insight into ongoing opportunities and problems in the industry.
While many strides have been made in the industry, one problem has stuck with Randy over the last 42 years: nail-holes. What builder cannot point to a costly problem a nail-hole puncture has caused in their projects? The nail-holes are coming from framing, cornice, brick ties, stucco staples, trim nails, screws, blocking nails, insulation staples, etc. and are puncturing water-lines, waste-lines, A/C lines, electrical wires, etc. Thousands of nail-holes causing millions in damages just within Randy’s own company. Nationwide you could estimate hundreds of millions of dollars in property damages over the past few years. Our unique NeverNail tag marking system helps solve one of the costliest preventable problems in all of construction.
